Situada en la localidad manchega de Campo de Criptana, se alza una de las bodegas más pintorescas y originales de toda la comarca, resultando un firme candidato a representante de los Nuevos Vinos de Castilla La Mancha.

Hace ya más de una década, esta empresa familiar inició la restauración de una antigua bodega del siglo XIX, “Bodega El Montañés”, con la intención de conservar la estructura antigua, manteniendo los muros de piedra, la teja árabe del techado, la estructura interna de madera de pino y la rehabilitación de zonas en desuso, añadiéndole los últimos avances tecnológicos en la elaboración del vino.
Recuperar una bodega de más de 150 años dejando que de nuevo los olores de la maceración y la fermentación del vino dieran vida a los viejos cimientos, fue la base de su proyecto. Aquella imagen es ya hoy una realidad, un espacio abierto donde la tradición, la familiaridad y el trabajo artesano se mezclan con la tecnología vinícola más actual, convirtiendo a la antigua bodega en un lugar de reunión y aprendizaje para todos aquellos que quieran descubrir una de las culturas más arraigadas en nuestras tierras.

Actualmente la bodega cuenta con toda la tecnología más avanzada para la producción de buenos vinos pero siempre manteniendo muy presente los valores del viejo lagar.

De sus más de doce referencias diferentes de vinos destacan el Baldor Cabernet Sauvignon, ampliamente galardonado en concursos tanto internacionales y del que en su paladar se distinguen esas notas a épocas de antaño que siempre debieron de permanecer.

Located on La Mancha in the village of Campo de Criptana, we can find one of the most picturesque and original wineries thoughout the region, resulting in a strong candidate foir representative of the “New Wines of Castilla La Mancha.

For more  more than a decade, that family business begun the restoration of an ancient  XIX century winery ”Bodega el Montañés”, with the intention of preserving the old estructure, keeping the stone walls , the arab tile on the roof , the structure pine internal and rehabilitation of disused areas, adding the latest new technological advances in winemaking.

To retrieve a hold 150 years old lettinng flavours maceration  and fermentation of wine give life  to the old structure, was the basis of its project. This image has now become a reality, an open space  where tradition, familiarity and craftmanship mixed with wine most current technology, converting the former winery into a meeting place and learning for all those  who want to discover one of the cultures most rooted in our land.

Currently  the winery has all the latest technology for the production of fine wines, but always keeping very present values of the old “lagar”

Among its more than a dozen references  I would include the Baldor wine Cabernet Sauvignon, widely honored in international awards. You can distinguish in the palate some notes  of other times that still are with us.
